About Dr. Stephen Michael Nenninger, N.M.D.

This is Steve. I am a naturopathic doctor with over 30 years of clinical experience. I genuinely believe I have one of the most interesting jobs in the world. My goal in practice is to people who have been suffering from chronic or so-called “incurable” illnesses.

Forty years ago, medical doctors told me I needed surgery for severe colitis or I would likely die from the disease. I chose a different path and am still here today. That experience became the foundation for my life’s work. That and the fact that everyone in my family has autoimmune disease.

I completed a four-year doctoral program in naturopathic medicine decades ago and have continued learning ever since through extensive study and thousands of patient cases.

When we can help someone, the work is deeply rewarding and fascinating. When we can’t, it’s disappointing and disheartening. I do everything possible to stay in the “helping” column.

No matter what direction you are considering — conventional medicine, natural approaches, or an integrative path — I have likely walked it myself, with loved ones, or with patients. I’ve seen the common pitfalls along the way. Some mistakes are learning opportunities; others are difficult or impossible to reverse. My goal is to help you avoid the irreversible ones and, together, make smart decisions that lead to real progress instead of dead ends.

I enjoy talking about these topics. Most people are respectful and a bit reserved at first, but please know that what we discuss may eventually help the next person who reaches out. You are welcome to contact me about your situation or a loved one’s.

At minimum, I can help you steer clear of dangerous cliffs. At best, we can work together to improve — or even resolve — your condition.
